Women—especially immigrant women—face significant barriers to fully integrating into the Canadian labour market and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Limited access to information, language barriers, cultural differences, and the lack of professional networks generate fear, insecurity, and isolation. As a result, many perceive economic and professional advancement as difficult or unattainable.
These challenges often lead to economic dependence on partners, underemployment, and the abandonment of personal and professional goals and dreams, despite the fact that many women possess valuable skills and experience. The lack of safe, inclusive, and peer-to-peer networking spaces further exacerbates these barriers, limiting access to opportunities and support systems.

Women Congress MB addresses this gap by creating structured and inclusive spaces that foster connection, networking, and access to resources. We recognize the importance of bringing Canadian-born and immigrant women together in a shared space where diversity becomes a source of enrichment, mutual support, and shared learning. Women Congress MB aims to serve as a bridge between cultures, empowering women to strengthen their confidence, achieve economic autonomy, and participate meaningfully in the Canadian labour market and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
